How to Clean Roman Blinds

The team at Blinds Warehouse have comprised a set of easy to follow instructions when it comes to cleaning Roman Blinds.

Things you’ll need:

• Duster (feather or woollen)
• Damp cloth
• Water spray bottle

Step 1:

Lower the blind completely ensuring there is no bundled material.

Step 2:

Using the water spray bottle, squirt water from the top down to the bottom of the shade.

Step 3:

Using a duster, gently brush over each panel from side to side. This will loosen or remove any type of residual build up.

Step 4:

With the damp cloth, start at the top panel and remove all dirt and dust by wiping from side to side. Rinse the rag after every few wipes to ensure no dirt is wiped back onto the blind.

Step 5:

Leave the blind rolled down until completely dry.

Handy Hint: Roman Blinds with battens need to have the grooves cleaned. For this either use a vacuum with a small nozzle or an ear cleaning bud can get into the hard to reach grooves.
