Measuring windows for blinds is a very easy thing to do and it won't take a lot of time. Some windows may appear to be the same size, you should measure each window individually to avoid mistakes.
A practical approach will give you the best results, try not to over complicate the process, in most cases there will be sufficient sill depth for Inside Mounts and for Outside Mounts a window frame (architraves) in which to hang your new blinds.
